EPAM is a Taiwan-based filter manufacturer, specializing in providing high-quality filter products. The company's main customers span across several industries, including semiconductors, flat-panel manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and petrochemicals. These industries demand high standards for the quality and reliability of filter products, and EPAM has earned the trust of its customers through its advanced technology and stringent quality control.
Recently, EPAM successfully developed an innovative perfluorinated filter regeneration technology, which has been validated by a semiconductor wafer foundry customer in Taiwan. This technology has now been officially applied to the chip manufacturing process. Perfluorinated filters are widely used in semiconductor manufacturing processes and have a significant impact on wafer yield. Due to the extremely high purity requirements for fluorine materials in the semiconductor industry, only a few manufacturers can produce compliant fluorine material filters. As semiconductor processes advance to the nanoscale, the number of suppliers capable of manufacturing nanoscale fluorine material filters is even smaller, leading to high filter prices and long lead times.
Moreover, fluorine materials cannot be naturally decomposed by the environment. The semiconductor industry discards tens of thousands of perfluorinated filters annually, exerting tremendous pressure on the environment and indirectly contributing to global warming. To address this issue, EPAM spent three years developing a successful perfluorinated filter regeneration technology. This technology can regenerate used perfluorinated filters to meet new product specifications. Actual validation has shown that the regenerated filters' pressure drop, cleanliness, and lifespan are equivalent to those of new filters, fully meeting customer needs.
Currently, semiconductor customers have started using regenerated filters in their chip production processes. Additionally, more than ten other customers are in the process of validation, hoping to widely adopt this environmentally friendly and efficient regeneration technology in the near future. EPAM's innovative technology not only reduces filter costs and lead times but also makes a significant contribution to environmental protection, demonstrating the company's leading position in technological development and social responsibility.
