EPAM joins 2023 SEMICON TAIWAN EXPO

One of EPAM's customers used EPAM MPD 0.2um PES sterilizing grade filter cartridges in their bottled water filtration system since 2021 and was thrilled to receive the 2022 Brussels Superior Taste Award for their product.

The customer was looking to keep the purity and quality of the water bottled and distributed to consumers, and the use of sterilizing grade filter cartridges was a key factor in achieving this goal. The filter was able to effectively remove impurities and microorganisms from the water, resulting in a product that was purer and more consistent in quality.

In addition to improving the quality of the water, the customer also reported a reduction in downtime and maintenance requirements for the filtration system. The EPAM MPD 0.2um PES sterilizing grade filter cartridges were installed for more than 15 months and were able to handle the high flow rates and contaminants present in the water, and their durable construction meant that they required less frequent replacement compared to other types of filters.

Overall, the use of the EPAM MPD 0.2um PES sterilizing grade filter cartridge was a major success for the customer. It helped them to produce high-quality bottled water that was recognized with a prestigious industry award, and also reduced the need for maintenance and downtime.

EPAM works with FlowVIEW Tek to provide customers with total filtration solutions

EPAM is a well-known filter manufacturer in Taiwan. The company’s headquarters and factory are located next to Zhunan Science Park. Its customers cover various industries such as semiconductors, TFT-LCD, food and beverages, and petrochemicals. In order to provide its customers with total filtration solutions, EPAM signed distributor contract to become one of the agents of the inline liquid particle monitoring system developed by FlowVIEW Tek.

FlowVIEW Tek is a start-up company derived from R&D team of ITRI in 2017. The patented automated detection solution is invested by National Development Fund of Taiwan and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan. Its solutions have been adopted by many well-known semiconductor customers around the world.

The filtration products of EPAM are mainly applied in the wet process of various industries. Customers have an enthusiastic demand for the cleanliness of the fluid in the process. The inline liquid particle monitoring system and automatic optical detection system of FlowVIEW Tek can satisfy this demand. The two companies closely work together will provide complete filtration solutions to meet customer needs.

EPAM signed a distribution contract with JEG for developing EPAM filters business in Malaysia and Singapore.

This contract covers EPAM Filters for application in the hard disc, electronics and semiconductor, Oleo-Chemicals, and Petro-chemicals industries in Singapore and Malaysia as well as some ASEAN region.

JEG was founded in the year 2011 in Selangor, Malaysia. The company has successfully positioned itself to be a competitive and economic supplier to a wide range of filters and filtration equipment supplies.

EPAM‘s filter products will strengthen its product portfolio in the field of microelectronics and provide more competitive products to customers in Southeast Asia.

EPAM’s Terepure CMP filters are successfully qualified and implemented at a leading foundry fab in Taiwan.

Terepure CMP filters are designed by EPAM R&D team and manufactured at EPAM Chunan plant. To make sure the filters’ quality can meet customer requirements in the semiconductor CMP process, EPAM invested more than $300K US dollars to set up instruments and production line for Terepure CMP.
The filters are designed to remove critical large particles, but keep working particles in the slurry. Gradient nanofibers are used to increase particle loading capacity, lower pressure drop, and achieve a longer lifespan of filters.

EPAM filters are halal-certified by THIDA to supply the international Muslim community.

Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association (THIDA) has received written recognition from halal certification units such as the Malaysian Government’s Islamic Affairs Development Department (JAKIM), the Islamic Council of Singapore (MUIS), and the Indonesian National Conference of Religious Scholars (MUI). THIDA is the only certificate-issuing unit in Taiwan that has been approved by MUI in Indonesia and JAKIM in Malaysia. THIDA is also a member of the International Halal Integrity Alliance (IHI) and the World Halal Food Council (WHFC).

To enable it to serve the international Muslim community, EPAM turned to THIDA to check and audit the specifications, ingredients, processing, and formulation of its Pleated filter, Antibacterial filter, Polyethersulfone(PES) filter, Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) filter cartridges.

THIDA confirmed that it is satisfied that EPAM Filters operate in compliance with the Halal requirements according to Islamic Law.
